Nowhere in North America have I ever seen such a plague of traffic cones, lane closures, and detours than I have on Montréal roads. The worst part about all of this is that when the construction signs go up little to nothing gets done. Something as simple as repaving a section of beat up road can take weeks to complete. WEEKS. Many of the sites are totally empty and are just taking up space for nothing. This is incredibly frustrating during peak hours of traffic. Oh, and traffic cops get at least $60hr to pretty much do what a stop sign does. Great.
